Penn Jillette is a 21st-century Lordof Misrule: big, boisterously anarchic, funny, Rabelaisian, impossible andunique. There isn't couldn't be better not be anybody like him.
--Richard Dawkins, bestselling author ofThe Greatest Show on Earth and The God Delusion"There are few people in the country who question more boldly, brashly and bravely than my friend Penn Jillette. This book is funny, provocative and profane. But is it right? --Glenn Beck""People who say that libertarians have no heart or atheists have no soul need to read this book. Because Penn Jillette has a lot of both."--Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of South Park and award-winning Broadway musical The Book of Mormon"Jillette has made a career as a provocateur, and it is tempting to dismiss this book as another piece of carny shtick, but there is a forceful intelligence at work here that demands to be taken seriously. He has shaped his argument with care."--Daniel Stashower, Washington Post Book World"This hugely entertaining book chronicles Jillette's weight-loss odyssey, but it really does much more than that...funny and profane...undeniablyinspiring." Booklist""Penn Jillette of the comedy-magic duo Penn and Teller holds nothing back in 'Presto!' as he describes how he lost almost a third of himself in a rather unconventional way.
Using honesty and humor, he takes readers on his journey to discovering a healthy lifestyle....Hot Tub Cover PatternJillette has written an extremely funny and somewhat profane book that will motivate others to seek weight-loss solutions." I am the Publisher, and I want to comment on this book.Ever since Rachel Graham started an Instagram account in 2015 to document her weight loss journey after having two kids, she's made sure to keep it real with her followers.
Losing over 90 pounds is no easy task, and Graham isn't afraid to admit it.This level of honesty has only made her account, @losinggravity, all the more relatable, and, in a recent post, Graham perfectly tackled yet another thing many people have to cope with after losing a lot of weight: excess loose skin. The anxiety posting this is REAL. Taken a few minutes apart, flexing in the first. "How did you avoid loose skin and stretch marks?" High waisted bottoms have become my bff. Do I regret losing weight? Not even a slightest thought. I am more FIT than I've ever been in my entire life. I'd be lying if I said my loose skin wasn't an insecurity of mine.. But I refuse to let it consume me. It doesn't hold me back like the weight used to. This stomach has grown two beautiful boys.. Has been through a 90lb+ gain and loss (100lb+ lost from my highest weight while pregnant!) Will you have loose skin after losing weight? I can't answer that for you, everyBODY is different. Will it be worth it, regardless?
Also for those who have asked.. I do plan to have surgery some day, but in the mean time I'm just working on self loooovvveeee. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ BE KINDDDD, I delete negativity 🤗 (No itworks, creams, lotions, yada yada) #nofilter #stretchmarksA photo posted by Rachel Graham (@losinggravity) on Aug 15, 2016 at 11:52am PDTWhat she had to say was equal parts inspiring and beautiful, and after acknowledging showing her excess skin made her incredibly anxious, she said she decided to do it because she refused to let her fears "consume" her."I'd be lying if I said my loose skin wasn't an insecurity of mine.. traying more and more from just wearing black 😬A photo posted by Rachel Graham (@losinggravity) on Jun 23, 2016 at 10:15am PDTAll too often, the "after" photos we see neglect to show what bodies actually look like when someone has lost a lot of weight. As Graham explains, this, in turn, leads to a new, unexpected insecurity and the belief loose skin is something you should be ashamed of — when, in reality, all that should really matter is how you feel. (As Graham puts it, "I am more FIT than I've ever been in my entire life. Ha have been together through SO much, and over the years my body has changed drastically. We started dating when I was 15, and I was in and out of the hospital for an eating disorder and other stuff related to depression. When I was unhealthy, he told me I was beautiful. Fast forward to my first pregnancy, I gained and gained and ended up not losing my pregnancy weight. I was considered obese for 6 years. My struggles with depression continued. He told me I was beautiful. Th
at my body was beautiful, and perfect the way it was. I am now at a healthy weight, and learning to finally accept my body. To LOVE my body. Something I haven't ever really been able to do, and something that will probably be a struggle for me forever.. But one thing that hasn't changed is that HE loves my body. No matter my size, he has loved it, loved ME. Unr that I am grateful. ❤️photo posted by Rachel Graham (@losinggravity) on Jun 29, 2016 at 4:47am PDT"I want to keep it 'real' to those following my journey, and my excess skin is my reality," she told People. "My excess skin is an insecurity of mine, and, while I'm learning to love this body — loose skin and all, I was nervous putting myself so 'out there' for everyone to see." My journey began when I stopped seeking the next "quick fix" to lose weight and realized it was going to take time. Wo began when I realized a LIFESTYLE change was what I needed. I had tried sooo many gimmicks before I made this realization. What really needed though was healthy food and exercise, not a short term attempt at a solution. I
calorie counted for agggges to make sure I wasn't eating too much or too little. Also, losing weight isn't a "one size fits all" thing. "Reading the responses really left me emotional!" 9 barely recognize myself in the "before" shot.. But if I'm being honest I barely recognize myself in the "current" picture either. Nailed that unimpressed look, eh? Ha was genuine in the "before".. I hated having my picture taken and was noooot happy that my husband was snapping pictures of me.
