1920s Wedding Dress Designers

If you’re a future bride and plan on being in New York city September 16th – 18th, you won’t want to miss our pop-up bridal trunk show at Hotel Elysee. Besides being held in a gorgeous 1920s style luxury boutique hotel that reflects the grandeur and grace of our gowns, the perks will be plentiful at this fabulous affair! The champagne will be flowing, there’ll be a bounty of scrumptious sweets to snack on, and you’ll leave home with a gift bag brimming with great bridal goodies. But we certainly won’t stop there. Not only will you have the chance to be styled by the eminent couture bridal designer Claire Pettibone herself – who better to help you choose the wedding dress of your dreams? – you’ll get 10% off your purchase, no tax, free shipping, and one free customization on your gown, up to $300. Plus, you’ll be able to peruse the entire Couture and Romantique collections – yep, the full Claire Pettibone flagship store experience. Made with the world’s finest laces, embroideries, and silks, the Couture Collection, including the Gilded Age gowns, offers a beguiling array of wedding dresses that embody vintage romance.

Prices in the Couture collection range from $3,000 to $8,000. If you find that the Couture Collection is a bit out of reach, or you just want a more understated, low-key vibe for your special day, the Romantique Collection, including the recently debuted California Dreamin’ gowns, offers an elegant mixture of flowing silhouettes, feminine off-the-shoulder sleeves, delicate embroidered lace, and signature stunning backs for the boho bride. Prices in the Romantique Collection range from $1,700 to $2,900. There will be something available for every style preference and figure. And since each gown is made to order in Los Angeles, your couture wedding dress can be made just for you – as it should be. We can customize your gown for a fuller bust or hip, add a sleeve, raise or lower the neckline, and meet many other special requests. At this point you may be on perk overload, but we have one more for you. Every bride who purchases one of our wedding dresses at the trunk show will be entered to receive two tickets to the Claire Pettibone Fall 2017 Presentation in New York city on September 19th, which will be a runway debut of the newest Claire Pettibone collection.

If you win, we’re confident you’ll be dazzled by some of the best bridal in New York! Our pop-up bridal trunk show in New York is bound to be a spectacular event. Designing this Romantique wedding dress collection, I was inspired by the diversity of my hometown, Los Angeles and the richness of the Golden State. Laguna features stunning crochet cut-out lace with side slit sheer skirt, illusion back, and slight sweep train. Carmel is made of cotton floral embroidery on a flowing net skirt with delicate tulle straps across the open back. The City of Angels attracts beautiful people from across the globe, from every culture, searching for that ineffable dream. Growing up here was perhaps the perfect place for my own dreamer’s heart to find its way. Beverly long sleeved floral lace wedding gown with cut out open back and chapel train. Monterey has a simple floral lace silhouette accented by an illusion lace bateau neckline and sheer illusion back. Silverlake exudes that effortless beauty we all lust after…and the prettiest flutter sleeves. Integral to the LA vibe, of course I had to give our beach babes and bohemian spirit equal time with crocheted laces, sexy backs, and sheer, red-carpet-ready accents.

Legs, backs, and beach inspired details are perfect for a walk in the sand, or vows in a sun-dappled forest. Did someone say Big Sur? Yes, her name is Malibu. This cotton crochet lace with open low back, and scalloped lace chapel train had to be! And of course, Coachella with her long boho sleeves, this side slit sheath of crochet lace with tassel tie open back might be my favorite. Our city’s Spanish roots are evident not only in the names of many of our towns and streets, but in the rich tradition of Latina culture so befitting a beautiful bride. Embellished necklines, backs and sleeves convey a refined mood, and the embroideries and scalloped laces impart a touch of celebrity glamour. Olvera Fiesta flowers adorn the fan motif lace with a low, open cross-back, and chapel train. La Cienega has a graceful flowing skirt with scalloped lace hem and illusion bateau neckline with open keyhole back. Palisades V-neck lace gown with gold silk ribbon waist with organza flowers, and cathedral length train…simply stunning.

Bel Air features elaborate embroidery with just a touch of sparkle, and look at that back! Pasadena is the epitome of old-world elegance. Embroidered tulle long sleeves, illusion front and back, with a gorgeous cathedral length train. Santa Monica is regal in her matching cape, with a “wow” fitted silhouette of embroidered tulle underneath. Sunset on the beach, care-free in the breeze of a vineyard, or luxe lace mantilla style…take your pick. In California, anything goes. The new Romantique California Dreamin’ collection will be arriving in stores Summer 2016. To see our current Romantique collections click here. Want to be the first to see the new collection? Claire Pettibone Flagship Salon • 7415 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036 Event Coordination: Amber Events Sweets: Sweet E’s Bakeshop Hair & Make-up: Page Beauty Floral Arrangements: Peony and Plum Bridal Accessories: Twigs and HoneyWe’re so excited to be bringing the ENTIRE COUTURE AND ROMANTIQUE COLLECTIONS to NYC for 4 fabulous shopping days, February 4-7. Popping up shop at Weddington Way’s #LOVEPOPSHOP at 109 Mercer Street so that our New York brides will have the chance to order a Claire Pettibone gown. The Couture Collection, including the brand new Gilded Age gowns, range from $3,600 to $10,000 with the majority in the $4,000 to $7,000 range. These dresses are all made in Los Angeles using the world’s finest laces, embroideries and silks. Since each gown is made to order, we can customize for a fuller bust or hip, add a sleeve, raise or lower a neckline, and accommodate many special requests. Just one of the perks of having a couture wedding gown made for you.

There are so many brides who love my aesthetic, but might not have the couture budget, so Romantique was created with this in mind. Made by our same in-house team, with less expensive, but still gorgeous fabrics, so brides can have their dream dress for under $3,000. We’ll have the entire Romantique selection in tow, as well! A few things to remember when wedding dress shopping: Sample sizes are not necessarily YOUR size, so you’ll have to do some visualizing. We do have several samples in larger sizes, in addition to the industry standard size 10, so curvy girls are absolutely welcome, and we’ll be ready with clips, clamps, and helpful stylists to guide you through the process. If you bring a friend/sister/cousin/etc. with you, make sure this person is really your biggest fan. A joyful, positive confidant who will support your choices, and not project her own dreams (or even worse, resentments!) onto you! When attending a Trunk Show, come prepared to make a purchase.

If you do find “the One” this is the perfect time to take advantage of special offers that only come with a Trunk Show. If someone else is involved in the final purchase, make sure you bring them along, or be ready to face-time, as this may be your only opportunity to show them a sample of your dress before the collection leaves for the next destination. Don’t try to be something that isn’t you, just because you’re a bride. Trends come and go, so find a dress that you truly love, and conveys your personality. My goal as a designer is to enhance your beauty, and there is nothing better than when a bride not only looks amazing, but has an emotional connection to her gown. Happy shopping, and we can’t wait to be a part of your beautiful wedding!
