The ancestor of all Boston Terriers today was an imported dog that a man from Boston bought in 1870. This dog was known as "Hooper's Judge." As such, the Boston Terrier was created in America by crossing a white English Terrier with an English Bulldog. They were given their name in 1891 when it was decided that they should carry the name that they were created. This is a true All-America dog and is very active, sweet tempered, and intelligent.

Compact and short-headed, the Boston Terrier shows strength, determination and movement. They are mostly found in colors of Brindle, Black or Seal with white patterns. They have been called "the America Gentleman" due to their debonair look. Their appearance is not the only pleasing characteristic about these amazing little dogs, though. Bostons have been part of our family for many years.  Developed as a companion breed, they have certainly "earned" that reputation!Or intention  is to breed show quality bostons  as close to the breed standard and of course  to improve if possible! When we do have puppies available ,those that do not meet "show standard " in our opinion  are sold to pet homes! We feel it is very exciting when adding a Boston to your family, giving you a lifetime of adventure! We are a member of the Boston Terrier Club of America (in good standing) and on the Board for our local Chapter- The Pasadena Boston Terrier Club.We screen and certify for genetic defects (congenital, PATELLA/BAER /CERF/JHC/Cardiac /OFA ).The boston terrier is  a breed who loves to be around people! Although I dont feel any dog should be "left in the backyard"alone without attention,the boston really likes to be "part of the family" They are willing to be a "couch potato" and also ready for that long hike or a day on "the river".

This is truly a really "versatile" little dog!They are very loving and natural little clowns that will keep you laughing for hours!  They are great little companions for children as well as adults.  Their sleek ,wash & wear coats make grooming easy for all!
