Kids are wriggly at the best of times: getting them dressed has been compared to dressing an octopus one-handedly; getting them into a high chair is akin to putting a round peg in a square hole, especially when they point their legs in every direction apart from the one that would facilitate actually getting into the chair, rather than hovering a clear foot above the thing on the end of a parent’s breaking arms; and catching them as they want to run or crawl off somewhere is just a precursor to an ear-busting scream and kicky limbs that could leave you reaching for the arnica cream with the one good hand they left you with.
