Just replace the TV studio with a large plywood dance floor in an Elk’s Lodge, the awkward teens with polka dancing seniors, and Dick Clark with the charming “Big Joe” Siedlik and his loud, accordion-patterned vests. For more than 25 years, Big Joe was a polka radio king, spinning a popular mix of Polish, Czech and German polka records for listeners in the Midwest. After retiring from radio, he moved to television and now showcases live polka bands and dancers on his program which airs nationwide on RFD-TV, “Rural America’s Most Important Network.” Later this month, Big Joe will film a series of shows at the RFD-TV Theater in Branson, Missouri. It’s a big deal for the bands chosen to perform and they’re coming from all over the country — the Polka Chips from Alaska, Smilin’ Scandinavians from Washington, Phocus from Buffalo, and many more.

One of polka’s biggest promoters, Big Joe likes to say that “polka tots make polka teens, and polka teens make adult human beings.” This clip is proof of that, as Big Joe welcomes (and teases) the younger members of Colorado’s Polka Nuts:The requested URL /discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x2931230 was not found on this server. Years ago the college football gods threw together a wonderful idea that has finally taken shape. We’re talking about he world’s biggest college football game that is going down Saturday in Bristol, Tennessee. Virginia Tech against Tennessee in front of 150,000 fans at Bristol Motor Speedway. They’re calling it The Battle at Bristol! The night before, Sept. 9 (tonight), Kenny Chesney is putting on a show that everyone will never forget. An opening to this fun non-stop tailgate party is Chesney stepping out on stage in front of 50,000 fans. That number would almost equal the population of Bristol itself! Kenny will be joined by Old Dominion and The Band Perry for this wonderful concert and is one you’re not going to want to miss. If you can do it then head on over to Bristol and get ready for this big night! Jake Owen has been around a few years and has had many hits we all love to sing and laugh to. Now, we can say his latest release, “American Country Love Song,” is a number one hit!

It jumped two songs this week to reach the number one status with an almost 750-spin lead over the second song on the charts, “Peter Pan” by Kelsea Ballerini. Sam Hunt, last week’s number one hit, bumps down to round out the top three positions with his hit, “Make You Miss Me.” There’s only one new single to the top 10 this week and it comes from Billy Currington. Have you heard his hit “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To?” Let’s take a look at the entire top 10 list for this week… 1. Jake Owen – American Country Love Song 2. Kelsea Ballerini – Peter Pan 3. Sam Hunt – Make You Miss Me 4. Dierks Bentley f/ Elle King – Different For Girls 5. Justin Moore – You Look Like I Need a Drink 6. William Michael Morgan – I Met a Girl 7. Who here would turn down a free concert? Who here would turn a free Dierks Bentley concert? Well, this Thursday he’ll be performing for free in Denver alongside OneRepublic as they welcome us to the football season. These two are going to be playing at Civic Center Park out in Denver, Colorado. No need to worry about tickets, but you might want to get there early. The gates open at 3pm for the event with the concert starting at 4:30pm. It’s more than just Dierks rocking out for us though. It’ll be a fun filled event with the chance to get pictures with the Vince Lombardi Trophy as well as some of the former Denver Broncos’ greats Hall of Fame busts. Make sure to head to Civic Center Park this Thursday if you’re in Denver for the big game! Luke Bryan is having one heck of a 2016 and he’s trying to continue it as he embarks on yet another tour, the one called the Farm Tour. How do you not get excited about all of this!? Starting Oct. 5, Bryan will set out on a eight city tour that will be spent mainly in the southeast and Midwest. He’ll be visiting some of the smaller towns across the country, as you might guess with the name of the tour being Farm Tour. This tour will give some proceeds to help students from farming families and/or students looking to major in agricultural studies head to college! Let’s take a look at those tour dates… 10/5 – Gaston, South Carolina 10/6 – Greenback, Tennessee 10/7 – Elizabethtown, Kentucky 10/8 – Monreville, Indiana 10/12 – Batesville, Mississippi 10/13 – Prairie Grove, Arkansas 10/14 – Centralia, Missouri 10/15 – Effingham, Illinois It’s another Labor Day weekend, we hope you enjoy the day away from work.
