Part of the Applied Technology Department, the photography program is the only program in the Inland Empire with a clear commitment to preparing students to find jobs in the photography field. At Riverside City College, students and budding photographers get to learn the fundamentals and foundations of classic photography processes and obtain a strong understanding in the usage of digital equipment and film technology. In addition to the familiar 35 mm format, students will become acquainted with professional camera using medium format and 4 x 5 film. Students will also learn about darkroom techniques and much more.
