Cracks between the wood The wood floring is beautiful, but the installation is not so good. The installation team was nice and polite, but I see gaps (many) between the installed wood. In the master bedroom the installer used some type of material to fill the gap and now that it has dried up it looks really bad actually. $8K investment down the pipe. wood & tile installation did not clean up vents from broken tile as stated they would. prices kept changing and added charges for items not used. We were concerned after reading some of the online reviews of the wood floor product. People talked about a lot of waste which Home Depot gladly credited them for. But, no one wants to go through that. The install went flawlessly!!! I've never seen a project with less waste! The installation crew were friendly and professional and Home Depot's support was outstanding! Our floors are beautiful and we will be enjoying them for many years to come!!! I purchased the wood a couple of years ago but had waited to do this room until a remodel. Scheduling was made easy by my local HD contact. She fought hard to get it done in a small window of time and on fast notice. The crew was efficient, fast and thorough. The one sticky point was that I had to re-purchase 5gal of Bostick glue ($179), when only a couple gallons was needed. I thought I had it but found out from the last install but found out the crew tends to take any leftover with them so I didn't. Even if I had the glue from 2 years ago, I might have decided to spring for new stuff anyway but wish it came in 1gal containers. Some of the wood was too thin and caused waste and time loss. Cost me a box on wood I could have returned. Made the workman redo some of the work.
