Joe Maddon amused by Busch Stadium ban on his 'Try Not To Suck' shirts Cubs manager Joe Maddon actually sees a benefit to the banning of his “Try Not To Suck” T-shirts at Busch Stadium.“It’s much better if the fans make a big deal out of it,” Maddon said Wednesday. “Let someone blow your horn, and the sound travels twice as far.” Maddon learned earlier this week that his T-shirts, in which proceeds go to his “Respect 90” Foundation, were banned after a fan told him of an usher’s request. “I'd love to know the definition of why they’re offensive in any shape or form,” said Maddon, who found the move "humorous." "Whoever thinks they’re offensive has a dirty mind."Maddon thought of various ways to combat the banning. “Then I decided to let it fly. The fans are responding. That’s the best way to indicate how (wrong) it is.“I’d love a full explanation as to why they find it offensive.”The controversy over the T-shirts may cause a change in policy at Busch Stadium.The Cardinals currently have written ballpark policies that include the forbidding of obscene or indecent clothing, team spokesman Ron Watermon told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
