I thought this might be a little too much for me, but when I got the skirt and tried it on, I thought it was just beautiful. What adds greatly to the design is the knit fabric used.

In another fabric the skirt might look too square dance like. But the matte finish of the knit fabric compliments the embroidery detail and adds a touch of elegance. Really a nice skirt. I love it and then ordered the matching top in yellow to match the embroidery at the bottom of the skirt. White was sold out and I would have bought the white to match.

I haven't gotten the top yet to review how it looks with the skirt. Love everything about it! I LOVE this skirt.The only thing that I would improve is that to use different fabric, more synthetic, so that it could last longer. It looks fantastic with the embroidery. I received this in the black and it is a real keeper. (I love Antthony's clothes!)It is well fit (true large); well made and the jersey material is a nice change. (Not a big fan of cotton). I highly recommend this one! Looks like those gauze peasant skirts, but in a stretchy knit. The waist is rows of elastic, so you can adjust where you want to wear, higher or lower. I was elated to see the length is 36"- perfect above ankle on my 5'4" frame. The embroidery is beautifully sewn and reminiscent of Mexican folklore items. I ordered the large which fit true to size (size 12) and my wide hips have ample room. I have a small waist 32" and the waistband fits, but is not loose. If you are more a size 14 in waist, consider the XL.

Want this in a solid too! I ordered all three colors, black is on wait list. I am sending back the Yellow & White. I' hope i'll like the black (if it comes) . Because the lighter colors show through, and i'm not sure i'm comfortable with the material as it's very very light-weight.
