Carters Lake is about 45 minutes away; the deepest lake in the state of Georgia.
It has many fun activities, such as: lake swimming, fishing, hiking, pontoon boats, boat marina, snack bar and visitor center with beautiful view of the lake. There are TV's in every bedroom (Direct TV satellite Prime), living room and lower level. Every bedroom has a bathroom with wall mounted hair dryers, magnifying mirrors and very plush, oversized, luxurious , Turkish bath towels and robes. The master bedroom has a fantastic, huge (72 in) hand-hammered, copper bathtub for 2 as well as a large shower.Although it sleeps 6 in bedrooms, there are two love seats in the living room which open up as twin beds, thus accommodating 8 people. Also, with a special request, two of the three outdoor beds (twin size each) can be placed on the lower level (no bathrooms downstairs though) for additional sleeping accommodations.Kitchen is fully equipped, double oven, microwave, plenty small appliances, including Keurig coffee maker, Panini grill, Ninja blender, food processor, farm- hand-hammered copper sink, foot pedal opens French faucet.Chandeliers and wall sconces throughout the cabin are custom made with bears, moose, deer designs.Décor changes every season and holidays, ask for set up: Holiday, St. Valentines, St. Patrick, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Halloween or Thanksgivings.There are 3 BBQ/grills (a very large gas grill, large charcoal Weber and a mini charcoal Weber) and two portable fire pits.
Plenty of decks with outdoor furniture/umbrellas.There is also a treadmill for use by adults only; as well as ping pong table in the lower level.There is the "Maserati" of hot tubs with 6 pumps, 118 jets, 5+ people, a lounger for 2, side by side with the best view of the mountain side. Locked rooms are off limits.I will welcome you to the cabin and will be available as much as needed.There are only about 20 permanent-resident- families and about 100 lots, very serene, lots of greenery. Neighbors are friendly but not intruders. During late spring and summer, no other cabins are visible from this property.Cabin is somewhat isolated from neighbors in about 5 acres of land. Lots of Mountain Laurels, Wild Azaleas, and native/wildflowers as well as seasonal planting of annuals and container gardening. Nice, paved roads but steep, need to use lower gear.There is a park for short, easy hiking, mountain viewing and picnicking at end of the main road.Please note that if your cell telephone service is Verizon or T-Mobile you may not have signals at this cabin to use it.
There is no public transportation; closest town is about 15 miles away. Rental car companies available in surrounding areas.There are noisy waterfalls to the left and right sides of the property coming together to form a triangle at bottom of hill. The best waterfall on the property is by the pavilion. The waterfalls are natural waterfalls so it all depends on the rain/snow on how full and noisy they get. The pictures were taken after a good rain and at low speeds. Walking sticks as well as pepper spray and loud horn provided.An amphitheater close by offers musical performance several times during the summer, great family entertainment.The Prime Outlets and Ballard/Frontgate/Grandiroad on Rte.400 are great with several stores than you can only see in about 3 states in the United States. There is a boutique winery close by with EXCELLENT wines as well as a magnificent view while you are wine tasting and live music on week ends/holidays. Also, another one, the Cartercay Winery which is dog-friendly.
