Nov 15, 2015 I have been working at Johnson Storage & Moving full-time Pros A healthy policy of promoting from within provides great opportunity for advancement. Cons The cyclical nature of the moving and storage industry creates heavy workloads during the summer months. Advice to Management Continue to promote from within to grow the strongest team. Nov 13, 2015 I have been working at Johnson Storage & Moving full-time Pros The opportunities at Johnson are endless because there is no best mode for transportation.
Everyone is always looking to improve upon the current methods and offers supports when new ideas are created. Cons The ups and downs of the industry can be difficult to with stand in the non peak season however, the fact of the matter is there will always be people moving. Advice to Management Keep allowing the workers to improve upon the current processes. The community relies on everyone sharing – Add Anonymous Review Nov 10, 2015 I have been working at Johnson Storage & Moving full-time (More than a year) Pros With dedication to this employer, Johnson Storage and Moving, has been one of the best companies I could have come to for progressive career growth and promotions. Opportunity awaits anyone that wants to work for it! Cons No cons to report except that moving and storage and/or logistics industry is not for the fair weathered fan. You need to be dedicated, resilient, professional and able to manage your life in conjunction with managing stress. If you have those components you can go far!
Advice to Management Mark Johnson and Don Hindman have been fair, encouraging , and supportive of progressive and modern marketing tactics in regards to my department. Oct 17, 2015 Pros Its so unorganized u can literally get a discount once the job is through or full refund. Cons Just started paying minmum wage.Workers are underpaid so they basically just show up no professional job is being done. Workers checks always bouncing, the little that there giving.last but not least sometimes there not giving lunch breaks. Advice to Management You should show your workers some love, maybe bussiness would run smoother. And the owner Curtis, the receptionist, and the brother need to work on hygines. Aug 11, 2015 I worked at Johnson Storage & Moving full-time Pros Good people, Great workers, Team job, Safe environment Cons Working in heat, Can Be Slow At Times, Advice to Management Great Job Aug 27, 2015 Pros You will receive your paycheck (if you're not cheated out of many hours of hard labor first) Cons Violence in the work place, extortion
, drama and lies. I have worked for Johnson's Storage and Moving for two years, within this time I have witnessed the management absolutely break the law, lie endlessly and perhaps even worse- attempt to force employees to break the law as well. The management (every member of the management) are crooks, as plainly as I can word it. When they are not acting the part- they will play their political games and work every angle available to them, to cause trouble for the body next to them. Working at Johnson's Storage and Moving changes people, I have watched them come and go; Human beings are not quite so "humane" if you were to ask the owner of the company. The owner is possibly one of the most frightfully grotesque men that I have ever had the misfortune of offering my services to. And- following suite, the rest of the management mimics his behavior. If you want to be threatened, bullied, lied to, lied about, pressured to join in illegal behaviors and insulted with every week you report to work- Johnson's Storage and Moving is the black hole for you.
Advice to Management Get some hobbies, learn to value any one on earth other than your selves, get lives... of some kind. Christ, get some therapy- I don't know. Pathological lying, narcissism, violence and slave-ownership are not *actually good traits to wear. Better yet, try WORKING a hard day for once in your lives, perhaps it may, by some miracle help any of you to BUILD some semblance of CHARACTER. Jul 9, 2015 I worked at Johnson Storage & Moving full-time (More than a year) Pros Somehow they have managed to hire a good group of people, but if I could rate this company less than one star I would. The owner of the company, Mark Johnson treats people like they are disposable. He is unable to control his temper. Absolutely the worst example of an executive manager I have been exposed to in my career. Cons If you are offered a management/supervisory position at the corporate headquarters in Centennial, only take it if you are going to starve without the job. I saw a sting of people lasting on average less than 60 days.
Once the owner notices an employee in a negative way, they are terminated. You will be promised amazing bonuses that will never materialize, they will either be based on business that will never exist or be calculated differently than the rest of the industry. The benefit will always go to the company. Advice to Management There is no advice to give this company as long as Mark Johnson runs it. He is a deplorable human being who gives no regards to the lives he destroys with his reprehensible employment practices. He has made money in spite off himself, it is enough to make you believe karma no doesn't exist. The joke in the industry is everyone knows someone who USED to work for Johnson's. Feb 14, 2015 I have been working at Johnson Storage & Moving full-time (More than 5 years) Pros Honestly I love working for them! Yes sometimes it is difficult to get payed and not every job pays the best when going out on it but they care about their employees who care about them. The only reason employees will get laid off is because the upper management sees them as a possibility of losing the company much deserved respect and money.
We work hard for what we believe in and they donate THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dollars of labor, equipment, and their time to multiple organizations one of which we have helped for over 12 years: the American diabetes association. Every year we donate multiple trucks to loan out for weeks to help with events and we have been awarded with multiple awards for doing so. I have type 1 diabetes and they have helped me so much with it and even when you are not allowed to work for Johnson until you are 21 and can't go over the road without atleast 3 years experience My brother and our Bestfriends have been OTR drivers for them since we were 19 and are now rated 1 drivers as owner operators with proud super sleepers and 99% and higher with every rating. They give priority to those who care about the company and not just their wallet. Mark Johnson has invited us multiple times to his private ranch, he has gone to the desert with us as well as the river and rides Harley's with us as well as drives with his CDL to still help.
If you go to mark Johnson the CEO of the company crying and needing advice and have no one to turn to he will come with open arms and help you through it all! Cons The only cons are the employees who do not care about our business and reputation. They destroy and trash equipment and never dress in full uniform, they walk all over the company until the point we lay them off to keep our name clean. Customers are always first but upper management cares about their drivers and employees! Advice to Management Keep on doing what you do best and keep our company afloat while I service our customers with a smile, respect, and my full heart into the job. The first impression a customer gets from us will always be the last and I will always have my blues tucked in, clean cut, pads and skins folded so perfect you can always smile and my equipment clean and ready to service our customers! Rubber bands with NO claims because that's how we do it! Doin it movin and hauling all the tonnage! Dec 29, 2014 Helpful (1) Pros The workers here work hard.
