LaserScience isn’t just any light show: first, we figure out how to put it together. We begin each show with a single light. It’s what we do with the beam that makes the show amazing. Figuring out how we perceive that light, we create a full-blown laser spectacle to the tune of popular music, with dancing, 3-D shapes floating overhead. We build it as big as you need it! We’ll engineer a large scale light show, bring our signature painting with light photo booth, or animate your logo or key community members with the laser. LaserScience is all about optics and vision. The physics of optics help us add layers of excitement to the show. But that’s half the story. We also explore how one beam creates entire images, using the science of our eyes. As we play with visual perception, we even delve into motion in movies, cartoons, and laser shows. Our eyes hold onto bright images for a moment, and then quickly erase them. Move a bright light around, and it leaves a bright trail in our vision.

Pitch black works best, so any windows in your space must be covered. LaserScience makes a great school assembly, and we also have a special holiday show. Like our other shows, the content can be adjusted for an audience of any level, from elementary science to university physics. The Bureau of Lectures presents Laser Science Back by popular demand, last year’s most popular show, Laser Science. The presenter will teach the students concepts such as persistence of vision, momentum, and inertia and more complicated subjects such as energy conversion and stimulated emission to audiences in high school and beyond…and then comes the fun part!

A professionally choreographed music and laser display caps off the assembly, bringing the concepts together with the oohs and ahhs of students and staff alike. The concepts explored are: Persistence of Vision – how our eyes make laser shows possible. Momentum/Inertia – even light has it. Energy Conversion – how energy turns into light. Stimulated Emission – how lasers work, Einstein’s ideas, and the importance of science, engineering, and art. This show was AWESOME! The presenter was phenomenal. All of our staff and students thoroughly enjoyed the show and I would recommend this show in a heartbeat. Well worth the $$! The entire audience, comprised of pre-k through 6th grade, faculty, staff, and community officials were mesmerized. I have already recommended this program to myAgain, an outstanding program, thank you for the opportunity. My daughter (age 8) said it was the best assembly she had ever seen and my son (age12) actually admitted that he enjoyed it too!

The show was excellent. Zachary was an excellent presenter, giving students solid information that was interesting and age appropriate. An incredible learning experience and very engaging! Our students have all seen a laser show in the past, but this time we learned how it was done. The students also learned how elements of math, science, and fine arts are needed to create a laser light show. Great show for all ages! Music enhanced the visual parts of the show and there was a great message given to the students at the end to tie everything together. student even stated, 'This show was better than a snow day!' Another student commented, 'this was the most amazing-est show ever!'Laser Wizardry was founded during the spring of 1996 in Phoenix, Arizona by Karl Rothweiler as a division of the Rothweiler Corporation, a group of over half a dozen family owned businesses. This was only after years of learning the artform by working with some of the masters and pioneers of the laser show industry and spending thousands of hours researching laser technology as well as building what would be a simplistic laser show system when compared to our current equipment.    

Since first working with lasers in 1991, Karl has performed hundreds of laser light shows at a wide range of events, everything from auto shows, school assemblies and choir performances to concerts, clubs and all night dance parties. Footage of Laser Wizardry concert and dance shows have been used on local and national television productions as well as several DVD productions including an episode of "Girls Gone Wild" that filmed in October of 2005 at the now-closed Arizona Beach Club. There have been many highlights along the way, but the most significant achievement of Karl Rothweiler´s laser career so far has been winning the 1st Place Brewster Award in the beams category at the year 2000 Laser F/X Light Show Conference.     Karl has also been published in several industry magazines and newsletters as well as provided high quality laser optics cleaning supplies to industrial, medical, scientific, and entertainment laser users through a sister company, Prometheus Photonics. The science of light and how our eyes and brain perceive light was introduced to our students by Mr. Zach Weber of Wondergy. Moving images made of light were projected on the walls of our gym. But the whole show is made from just one  laser beam. To learn how it works, we took a look at the science of optics and the human eye.
