New students with a housing assignment are to report directly to their assigned residence hall. Short term parking for unloading vehicles will be available in the fire lanes. Parking Zone CH in the lots around the residence halls will be unrestricted through Sunday, August 21. Students participating in International Student Orientation may arrive as early as Wednesday, August 3 at a cost of $16 per day (August 3–13). Students employed by RPS, or those taking part in an IU program such as marching band, athletics, IU Beginnings, or International Student Orientation will receive instructions from the department or program. All other residents may begin arriving on Sunday, August 14. A cost of $36 per day (August 14–16) per day will be assessed. Desk and chair (one per student). Ethernet connection and Wi-Fi at most locations. Campus cable TV connection. Before making purchases for the room, watch our video for ideas and decorating tips from other residents. Before doing anything to a room, please read this section of the A to Z Guide about modifications: Room dimensions determine the bed arrangement options available in any given room. Information for specific rooms will be available at My Housing. Some rooms do not accommodate all the bed arrangements available at a residence hall.

Fall 2016 Move In Day - Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 New students living on campus will receive their housing assignment in their Chapman email account. Please review a and plan to check in at your residence hall at the time designated. Each resident may bring only one vehicle to check-in day and you will only be able to park in the residence hall lots for one hour (alternate parking is available for free throughout campus for the remainder of the day's Orientation events.) Rental trucks or trailers will not be allowed.  Due to the limited number of carts available, we recommend that you bring your own cart/dolly.
NOTE FOR ALL STUDENTS: If you arrive to check-in after normal business hours, please contact  who will call a Resident Advisor to help you. Fall 2016 Move In Day - Thursday, August 25th, 2016 Transfer students living on campus for Fall 2016 will receive their housing assignment via their Chapman email account. Please review a campus map and plan to check in at your residence hall or apartment at the time designated. Rental trucks or trailers will not be allowed. NOTE FOR ALL STUDENTS: If you arrive to check-in after normal business hours, please contact  who will call a Resident Advisor or staff member to help you. Continuing Chapman students should plan on moving into their housing assignment during specified hours in their housing assignment notification email. Even in the most ideal living situations, on campus living can still make for a crowded situation. Think about what you will really need, and don't bring anything else!  It is also recommended that you communicate with your roommate(s) to prevent duplicate items from taking up unnecessary space in the room.
Linens: twin extra-long bedding (some beds will not need extra long bedding, but it will fit all bed sizes offered in the residence halls), towels, pillows Cleaning supplies for bedrooms and bathrooms Bath/Shower Mat for bathrooms Laundry supplies (please no powdered laundry soap; our machines operate on a card system, so no need for quarters!)
