We were promised "fantasy and sensuality" for Monique Lhuillier's Spring 2016 wedding dress collection, and from the look of the first few photos trickling in from her runway show, she's giving us just that. As we've come to know and love from Monique Lhuillier's bridal designs, there was plenty of tulle, sparkle, and soft pastels in her latest range.

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Monique says in her inspiration statement that "Following Alice's path of fantasy and curiosity, my gowns transform into magical imaginations and beautiful enchantments." Monique draped her many of her gowns with a plunging deep V like one embroidered champagne number with jutting tiers of tulle as well as a billowy shimmering ball gown. Another gown, featuring a sweetheart neckline and cap-sleeves, hugged close to the hips and featured some sheer cutouts on the sides to add that extra bit of va va voom flavor. Of course, it wouldn't be Monique Lhuillier without delicate feminine details. Soft fabrics — like her beloved use of tulle — and light beaded details softened up some of the more sexy elements. We can't forget the shimmering floral appliés, either. There was one pin-tucked tulle shawl — worn over an ultra-glam satin mermaid dress — that caught our eye as well. The dreamy dresses were topped off by super-sleek bridal buns, because let's face it: These dresses stand well on their own.
