We’ve raised over $4. DRESS CODEBanquet DiningThe Club has banquet space for up to 350 people. There are five separate areas where banquets may be held depending on the day and time. Jeans, ball caps and visors are not permitted in the banquet space. Casual Dining The Iowa Grille and Casual Bar are the areas for casual dining. Jeans are acceptable attire in these areas. Ball caps, visors and swimwear are not acceptable. Formal Dining The Candlelight Dining Room is the club’s formal dining area. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket or suit, and ladies should be in a suit or dress and shoes instead of sandals. Golf CoursesShirts and blouses with collars. Collarless shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and T-shirts should be dressy and conform to the styles offered in our Pro Shops or in other fine clothing stores. Slacks, Bermuda or mid-thigh length shorts are all acceptable attire on the golf courses. Soft spikes are required. Jeans, tennis shorts, frayed, ragged, tattered or sloppy clothing of any kind. Gym shoes and jams-style clothing halter tops, tube tops, muscle shirts. Clothing with inappropriate lettering or designs, including lewd sayings, etc, are all considered inappropriate attire on the golf courses. Tennis PlayersAre requested to wear appropriate tennis apparel when using the courts, as a courtesy to other players. Tennis shoes, suitable to the surface of the courts, are to be worn at all time. The club offers optional valet parking services. Those who prefer to park their cars may certainly do so. However, there are attendants on duty during luncheon services (except on Saturday) and after 5PM to park cars. A gratuity is in order for this service payable to the attendant when cars are returned. Persons who take, develop, create or print certain photographs, paintings, artwork or drawings of the Des Moines Golf and Country Club’s property are prohibited from selling or reproducing said images unless they have written approval from the Club’s Board of Directors. FOOD AND LIQUOR REGULATIONS It’s against the state law for any member or guest to bring liquor or beer onto the clubs grounds.
