We are super excited that a few of our Coterie Members collaborated on this one -- Dure Events is responsible for the out-of-this-world design, Isabella Invitations for the luxe paper goods and Brides by Nona for the bride's traditional outfit and mother's of the bride/groom dresses.  And just in case the decor wasn't enough for you, Ezinne and Uche also had Banky W and Lynxx perform at the reception! Occupations:  Attorney/Compliance Manager & Project Manager Wedding location:  Bayou City Event Center - Houston, TX When it comes to making a love connection, who says men always have to make the first move? Ezinne is a woman who knows what she wants, and when she saw Uchenna’s photo on a Facebook page for a Nigerian Independence Day group, she decided that it couldn’t hurt to send him a “Friend Request!” Uchenna accepted her request and immediately reached out to her. They chatted all afternoon and soon became inseparable.
After Uchenna made a public proposal to Ezinne in front of tons of after-Thanksgiving discount shoppers in the mall, the couple started planning their extravagant Texas winter wedding!  Ezinne made sure to include her family and friends in the process of planning their nuptials, which included getting invitations to over 600 guests who flew in from as far as the UK and Africa. The couple made sure to infuse their Nigerian culture into the festivities, opening their reception with a prayer followed by the ‘breaking of the kola nut’, a long standing Igbo practice. Popular Nigerian artists Banky W. and Lynxx performed for guests who danced the night away under a 300 pound  “crystal rain” chandelier which was custom built for the couple.  The gorgeous chandelier, towering floral floral walls and arrangements made of white roses and hydrangeas, and crisp white table linens gave the appearance of icicle filled snow land, perfectly playing up their “Opulent and Elegant Winter Wedding” theme.
Guests dined on a unique mixture of Nigerian and American food and munched on gourmet donuts for dessert. While all of the decorations and food were nothing short of perfection, the most memorable moment for the couple was seeing their families come together! Ezinne shares, “Most of Uchenna's family members live in Nigeria and mine live mostly in the United States, so the wedding allowed them to finally all meet and bond even more. Our families laughed, cried, danced and celebrated our wedding together like they had known each other for years. It was simply amazing to see that happen.”  The Ubosi’s wedding perfectly mixed amazing decor, sentimental moments and culture, making their special day a memorable and stylish celebration!
