Best Seat Covers For Suv

We are starting to travel with our dog and when we stop for lunch and need to leave her in the car I want to be sure she is safe. Is there any thing that will keep her cool when the temperatures are hot out side and inside the car? Never leave your pets in a hot car (over 70 degrees outside, even in the shade). Don't rely on your auto-start for A/C either. I did this once to run in and get half-and-half at the supermarket. Literally four minutes in and out. My auto-start had malfunctioned and the car shut off, leaving my dog in a hot car with the windows up. A nice man was on his phone to the police, glaring at me like I was the scum of the earth, and I would have thanked him if he'd broken my car windows to save my pup. It could have been a horrific situation if I had been in the store for just a few more moments. My vet advised me never to bring my dogs along if there is a chance that I will have to leave my vehicle/dogs unattended. I know folks that have left their pet in their vehicle to run inside a drugstore for a gallon of milk and came out to find the police waiting for them.
Seems a concerned shopper felt the pet should not have been left unattended and called them. You can be fined, have to go to court and in some cases your pet can be taken away from you. If I must bring my dogs along on an errand, I always bring my husband or a friend so they can stay in the car (engine and air on) with my dogs. No worries about temperture or concerned animal lovers calling the police. If I travel and my dogs cannot be with me on every leg of the trip, I have a wonderful kennel that takes great care of them till my return. if the temp is above 70 leave the car running, don't leave her in the car, or don't take her. I have two dogs and if it is below 45 or over 70 they stay at home. If we are traveling a long ways or to an event that is dog friendly durning the warm months (or cold months# and the dogs are going we eat fast food in the car or eat at a picnic site with dogs on leashes #stick your leg though the dogs leash and put it up around your knee slightly under your thigh .. dog gets to look around but in his/her excitment can't bolt off as easily as around your
ankle and your hands are free to eat etc). You should never ever leave your dog in the car when it is hot outside. You should purchase a tie out and always keep your dog outside the vehicle in a shaded area when the car is not in motion.Outdoor Furniture Costa Rica 485 posts, read 597,682 timesHarley Waterproof Seat Cover has anyone ever put cloth/canvas seat covers over their leather seats and had good results?Bath Fun Shower Head Toy i have always done this for my cloth seats with excellent results, but never done it over leather i want to keep my leather seats looking new i would imagine that seat covers will prevent the leather from fading, scratching (btw i have a very hyper dog), staining or cracking prematurely

Either way, it doesn't make sense to me as I'd rather enjoy them for ten years and then pay a shop to reupholster when the times comes. I'm not generally being a smart ass, I'm just trying to understand the logic behind a decision. I'll just leave that portion alone as we all have our preferences regardless of whether or not they make sense to someone else. A seat cover should offer some protection to the leather surface although leather is naturally more slippery than most cloth surfaces so the cover might slide around a bit on the seat.
