Wedding Dress Value Calculator Best Dresses For Your ShapeThe Wives and Weddings of Donald Trump Donald Trump has turned the 2016 presidential election on its head, that's a given. But what we're more concerned with, naturally, are the ladies with whom he's walked down the aisle. When it comes to the GOP frontrunner, who's known for his biting remarks and flowing orange locks, it's safe to say he does nothing quietly — and that includes getting married. That's why we're dishing on the three women behind the notorious New York billionaire — and their steps down the gilded aisle to all become Mrs. Trump. These are three #TBT weddings that you're not going to want to miss.
The OG wife of "The Donald," Ivana Zelnícková grew up in the Czech Republic and at an early age, capitalized on her skiing talent — which included being an alternate on the 1972 Czechoslovak Olympic Ski Team. Before marrying the real estate mogul himself, Ivana was actually married to real estate agent Alfred Winklemeier for two years before getting divorced. In 1977, she married Donald Trump at the Marble Collegiate Church — after meeting him in New York, and the two went on to create the Trump "empire," which includes her aspirations to be like the Vanderbilts. Ivana has been quoted as saying, "in 50 years Donald and I will be considered old money like the Vanderbilts." The two went on to have three children — Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump. We trolled the Internet for a photo of the OG wife of the Donald on their wedding day, but unfortunately came up with nada. How ironic that the most famous of his wives is also the most elusive when it comes to photos of the pair?
Their split, however, was less-than-secretive, that's for sure. In a recent Vanity Fair article, Donald was said to have given Ivana an ultimatum: "Either you act like my wife and come back to New York and take care of your children or you run the casino in Atlantic City and we get divorced." Ultimately, their marriage ended in divorce after his very public affair with Marla Maples in 1990 (wife #2 — we're getting there, promise). Ivana received a $25 million settlement in the split, but has since gone on to write an advice column for Divorce Magazine as well as having a total of four ex-husbands, including the latest — hunky Rossano Rubicondi, a 36-year-old Italian entrepreneur. See More: Our Favorite Celebrity Engagement Rings Known as the mysterious home-wrecking second wife in Trump's marriage chronicles, Marla Maples has been in the headlines most recently for accepting a spot on Dancing With The Stars. But way before sashaying her way into the news by getting on a dancing reality show, Maples was covering all the tabloids due to her super controversial relationship with the now GOP frontrunner.
She and Donald had the affair to end all affairs — which did just that — ended his first marriage to Ivana. Their December 1993 wedding was a lavish display in which the former Inside Edition correspondent wore a white silk long-sleeve Carolina Herrera wedding gown with pink roses as her bridal bouquet. Two months prior to their opulent nuptials, Maples gave birth to Donald's second daughter, Tiffany. For the not-faint-at-heart, she was actually quoted telling a friend that sex with Trump was "the best sex I've ever had." Melania (Knauss) Trump was born in Slovenia, and met her now-husband of 10 years at a party — while he was on a date with another woman, People reports. "He came to the party with a date!" she shared. "I had heard he was a ladies' man, and so I said, 'I'm not one of the ladies.' Later, she noted, he sent his date to the ladies' room so that he could get Melania's number. That phone call proved to be the ticket to holy matrimony, and the two tied the knot in 2005.
